The Spring 2013 Sarasota Chess Tournament was held on the anniversary of our first, on Sunday May 5, 2013. Congratulations to all of our participants for a great afternoon of chess competition.  Full results are here.  Photo gallery here.

The new venue, Pine View's Student Union, proved to be a great site.  We were happy to see several new faces, including players from additional schools.  62 competitors faced each other in three evenly-divided sections K-9 (K-10) U1100, K-6 U650, and K-3 U500. We didn't have enough for a high school section, so the top 12th grader was asked to enjoy some unofficial games, while the two registered 10th graders were added into the K-9 (K-10) section.
